The AV Club review of Turning Red is hilarious. It's a few paragraphs describing the plot, and then a couple more paragraphs talking about how Asian it is. No discussion of filmic elements, of story, of themes, of animation, design, color, nothing

I didn't agree with AA Dowd 100% of the time, and he did have some awful fucking takes, but at least he gave you something

Nosferatu was released 100 years ago this month. There’s never been a creepier onscreen vampire, gave me the willies as a kid unlike any other movie monster.
