I mean it makes a certain sense in the same way that Trump makes a certain sense (of course we got the tv man! of course we get grandpa!) but still. There's something about the comparative quietness of the Biden presidency that feels more hyperreal than Trump ever did.

How much of it can be chaulked up to his staffers being as or more online than myself? We can change reality by flipping some bits or doing better messaging!Mickey wrote:I mean it makes a certain sense in the same way that Trump makes a certain sense (of course we got the tv man! of course we get grandpa!) but still. I never fail to laugh when one side claps and the other sits, just for no other reason than the president is the same team or opposite team.
I mean, Biden was talking about making more things in the US with US materials, and the Republicans still didn't clap. LOL Wouldn't any sane American be on board with that?

Republicans are only down with that if you’ve also vowed to keep immigrants out.blueviper wrote:I never fail to laugh when one side claps and the other sits, just for no other reason than the president is the same team or opposite team.

Remember how upset Republicans were when Nancy Pelosi clapped slowly and tore a piece of paper?Peeps wrote:

The counterpoint to that is that war criminals using their dead kids as a political props should be [REDACTED].

What about using dead troops as political props? Is it different if it's troops?
