I started this last night. Half way through. It's great.
Great movie. Beautiful as well. Not quite finished yet, have to get my daughter to sleep for the night first.
I believe I read that Spielberg was wanting to do a musical for awhile. You can see a bit of that in the opening sequence of Temple of Doom. But you can tell his heart was in this film. I wish kingdom of the crystal skull looked as great as West Side story does.

meh its a musical. It was going to be hard. I havent finished, and im not sure i will. But i was a little shocked to see it was so much by the numbers. The opening sequence bored me to death. I wasnt feeling the casting.

i havent no.

Im not a fan of the musicals. I watched them because of the camera movement, specially those amazing ones from the 50s or 60s.

The King of Comedy - Didn't really know much about this outside of it being Scorsese and DeNiro, but a pretty difficult watch. Obvious that it inspired The Joker.

Bombshell - Pretty meh. Theron was good as usual though.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
