You’re still in the growing pains seasons, too. Knowing there’s such a good show ahead of you is especially exciting.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

It's staggering how much of this show I remember given how long it's been. Season one is all over the place. But Season Two is already more focused and becoming the show that I love so much.

Re: Star Trek Awesomeness
My son is getting into TNG, so we’ve made it through the prime cuts and are now into deeper waters. I’m getting surprised repeatedly by how…good?…classy?…some of the stuff I don’t remember fondly is.
Times Arrow is a great example. I remember watching it when it came out, and feeling really, really embarrassed.
It’s still not amazing. Marred by one of those “impressionist as actor” wet fart performances, and some of the content hasn’t aged well at all. But the “current timeline” wrapping is fantastically done, and the central drama of the episode is so well set up before the silly history stuff happens that I am happy to ride along with it. Lots of joyous qualities. Marc Alaimo‘s brief appearance is great, and Jack London sucks less than I remembered (or maybe I just recently watched some Brisco County Junior). Just the right level of ham to play against Spiner’s literalist Data.

Shatner was at the deli 1 min from my house today and I missed it. He's basically the only celebrity I would have liked to have said "Hi...big fan" too. Such is life.

He is always good. Not sure I will bother with the series anyway.
