I do this with literally everything, never cared about spoilers; when I get into something I just dive in and consume everything I can, it won't ruin the movieJorge wrote:Why are you spoiling the movie for yourself by watching clips? Please stop!Ms Harmless wrote:
I just watched a clip of Paul Dano's Riddler being interrogated and trolling Batman, and I honestly haven't smiled like that since watching vintage X-Files creeps fuck with Mulder

Have you tried the other way? Letting a hotly anticipated movie surprise you, taking things in within the intended pacing and context? Did it change anything?Ms Harmless wrote:I do this with literally everything, never cared about spoilers; when I get into something I just dive in and consume everything I can, it won't ruin the movieJorge wrote:Why are you spoiling the movie for yourself by watching clips? I'm not a spoiler obsessive, like those people who straight up avoid trailers and TV spots. But watching scenes from the movie feels weird to me. I love being surprised

You must consume art the correct way (my way)

Re: What movies are you watching?
Backtrace

Sylvester Stallone gets second billing in this turgid piece of shit. Stallone is in it for about 5 minutes total. He shows up at the end to shoot everyone.
Matthew Modine (3rd on the bill) wanders around with a migraine for most of the movie.
Surprise appearance by Shooter McGavin himself! Guess who turns out to be the bad guy? (oh, spoiler alert)
12 stars out of 345!

Burt, you're watching stuff that's worse than straight-to-DVD. You're watching stuff that's worse than made-in-China. You're watching stuff that's made FOR China

Re: What movies are you watching?
Speaking of Hollywood dreck:
The King's Man. What the fuck is this shit?

Some kind of bizarre propagandist nonsense where the "hero" happens to have the bullshit values of a self loathing 21st century liberal (who ain't giving that mansion back though), the "bad guys" are actually the good guys who want to overthrow the corrupt status quo but are thwarted by a diverse cast of anglo status quo defenders, and there is a bizarre homophobic subplot involving a fucking awesome free spirited Rasputin, who is the only good thing about this piece of shit, and I lost interest as soon as he left.
Halfway through it goes from comic book movie to brutal war movie. Then it goes back to comics.
"War is bad but also we need to keep clandestinely manipulating foreign governments to keep fighting on behalf of Britain."
Very weird movie all around!
