Monkey Shoulder is great. It's a perfect "gift" whiskey.

Not a huge fan. It's fine in a pinch or as a mixer (like a maker's & ginger ale).VinylGuy wrote:guys, thoughts on Makers Mark?
But with so SO many superior options out there, I avoid it.

Of Makers? I've never had those.VinylGuy wrote:what are your thoughts on a blue or green label?
I've had the Blue and Green Johnny Walkers though. The Blue is excellent if overpriced.
Green is good and maybe a better value than the Blue. But the Blue tastes better.
But I'm still a sucker for JW Black. It's smooth and complex and in a reasonable price range.
Though to be honest I haven't done a lot of blended scotches lately.

Re: Whisky, Whiskey, Scotch, Bourbon
i was talking about JK yeah.
Im also a huge fan of black or double black. Hell, the golden too. Blue and Green were always great in my mind, and im thinking about getting another Blue but yeah, its seems overpriced.
Someone told me the Macallan is actually better than the Blue Label.
