it's 15 in the UK, same as plenty of horror movies; I think it'll be fine as long as it strikes the right moods

Yes, the musical number came out of nowhere

Well, I don't know if I'd call it a musical number.

What is it about superhero movies that if I think they are even barely good or mildly interesting, I immediately want to go back and watch them again? I thought this one was OK, it was good, alright, fine. Why do I already feel the need to go watch it again? What is wrong with me?

I liked it. 8-8.5/10

Dano is brilliant smashes it out the park. Bill gates/young James Spader looking psycho.
Pattinson was good as Batman but made Bruce Wayne look like a skinny emo kid.
Kravitz was excellent
I Loved Penguin He was great and looked so menacing.

Cool story it kind of had a “seven“ feel to it.

My son wanted me to explain the rat contraption.

What's the deal there? There are rats trapped in a box with the guy's face? Then when they get hungry they eat his face?

If that would even work, it would take months to kill the guy, wouldn't it?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

The last action scene is so tacked on. :haha:

It's like they made a 2.5 hour movie and then realized a.) they had no big dumb action set piece, and b.) they basically made a movie about a heroic Alex Jones acolyte taking on the corrupt system and winning.

So they add a saintly black female mayor (who definitely won't turn out like Lori Lightfoot or Catherine Pugh) and an attack by some incels, naturally stopped by a good-guy white lib institution defender. The righteousness of the ruling regime is restored!

Tacked on or no, it’s fun as hell and that flare gun sequence is beautiful

Does Batman actually beat up a bunch of incels in this movie? That would be pretty cool.
