Question: Do they plan on tying this in with Joaquin's Joker movies?

I haven't watched the old ones in a long time. This one would be 3 or 4 I guess.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Rank the Batman filmsBurtReynolds wrote:The last action scene is so tacked on.![]()
It's like they made a 2.5 hour movie and then realized a.) they had no big dumb action set piece, and b.) they basically made a movie about a heroic Alex Jones acolyte taking on the corrupt system and winning.
So they add a saintly black female mayor (who definitely won't turn out like Lori Lightfoot or Catherine Pugh) and an attack by some incels, naturally stopped by a good-guy white lib institution defender. The righteousness of the ruling regime is restored!
The Arkham games are better than all of them except maybe Dark Knight though.

it's safe to assume the entire male contingent of the rogues gallery and their henchmen are incels at this pointJuanHamm wrote:Does Batman actually beat up a bunch of incels in this movie? That would be pretty cool.

Re: Movie: The Batman (Battinson)
It was long and the story wasnt that good..i mean the mystery or whatever was pretty meh. I appreciate the idea of showing us this young Batman, making all kind of mistakes and having his ass kicked a lot. I also kinda liked how far they went with The Riddler´s plan.
But man, it took so long to get there...very weird and anticlimatic choices in terms of framing and editing too. I didnt liked Pattison at all, specially as Bruce. He had just one fucking face the whole movie.
I loved Farrell as The Penguin and Zoe was promising as Selina. It reminded me of the Selina in Year One. Wright was soooo fucking boring as Gordon.
And Serkis as Alfred? not good. His relationship with Bruce didnt felt close not important.
The Riddler was kinda cool, but he was so close to Joker or Bane from the Nolan movies it was also weird...the interrogation scene? a pale imitation of the one in TDK.

Re: Movie: The Batman (Battinson)
one thing I love about Michael Giacchino's score is that it's totally lacking in obvious, generic, thuddy floor-tom "action drums" (a la Nolan's, yawn); it's nearly all subtle, quiet mood-pieces instead (with occasional classy trumpet stabs to bring the kapow); it brings the film much further towards Horror than Action (and alas, I see a lot of people wanting an action movie were disappointed with it in general)

yeah, the score was good. And i love how grim and dark the movie was. Its is not violent or gory at all. I could have been. It should have been.

I much prefer a poetic mood piece than a gore fest when it comes to horror
