If I had to bet, I'd bet against it. But MAN! I would lose my shit if they did that.

Me n joe had that theory ages ago. Have her turn up to tell obi wan anakin is alive and is Vader. He doesn’t know at this point that he survived mustafar.

Perfect vehicle to remind people who she is and her importance

Are Vader and Obi-Wan going to interact at all? I thought it was already part of the story that they don't, but I don't really know Star Wars very well.

They’re pitching this and have told us ‘it’s the rematch of the century’.

It all hangs on obiwan not knowing anakin/Vader survived. But also on that line from Vader in a new hope. When we last met etc

They’re gonna knock the shit outta each other.
How they both get to walk off and both survive is the question.

Vader tells Luke that Obi-Wan once thought as he did (that Vader could be turned). But we don't have the details on that story. This is probably going to give us those details.

We know Obi-Wan ultimately fails but I think the more interesting question is why?

Does Obi-wan get close to turning him? If so, how?

There's a lot of great thematic ground to cove here.

So, yes, Obi-Wan and Vader will interact. As dime said, they're rolling with rematch of the century. Should be epic.

I wonder if Obi-Wan ever visits Yoda on Dagobah. Or gets into contact with him somehow.

One of the new canon books has them in contact through the force.
Yoda is telling obi wan they should have went with leia to train. She’s more disciplined and stable. Luke too much like his father. Obi wan pushes for Luke given his potential.
But the films and onscreen are canon. Everything else is canon until it isn’t.

Have they said where in the timeline this will take place? ROTS takes place 20 years before Guinness. It’s now been 20 years since ROTS and McGregor still looks 25 years younger than Guinness did.

I wouldn't be surprised if the opening lines in the trailer ("The war is done. We lost." or whatever) is Obi-Wan talking to someone we know. Perhaps Yoda. Perhaps... Qui-Gon???

That's my secret wish/hope. That it's Qui-Gon.

Takes place ten years after revenge of the sith. Ten years before a new hope.

Little Luke you see in the trailer is ten years old.

And it’s first episode is May 25th. The original release day for the very first Star Wars.

And they even got john Williams back to do the score for it.

Anything else?
