There’s so much time and space. Two would be the absolute limit though.

Want as much obi wan as I can get but even two seasons is sketchy
I agree. So many series get ruined with 4th and 5th seasons. Very difficult to keep a good drama series going that long, and still going full quality.

I'd be fine with this season and then waiting another 5-6 years to make the next one. Sort of a real time passing of time.

That would be cool.

I agree with everyone that less is more and there's a risk of overdoing this. But I love Obi-Wan so much that I'll take all the Kenobi content I can get. You swirl Ewan into the mix? I'm all in.

This maybe doesn't need to be more than 1 season. And I'm just going to enjoy what we get. But I'd be lying if I said the idea of more Ewan as Kenobi shows/movies/etc wasn't exciting as all hell to me.

That’s a cool idea MD.

I think two is too much. But space it out and it would be a win

yeah, i mean it depends on how much story they will try to do in this season. Im really ok with this being a limited series tough.

Same. I'm worried it's going to be a show filled with characters not named Obi-Wan in an effort to tell a wider story. What's wrong with a story focusing on hermit who failed?

It's an interesting conversation. Whether or not Kenobi failed, HE thinks he failed. That's where he's at when we start this thing.

At this point in the timeline of his life, he probably thinks of himself as a huge failure. I'd be bumming if my mentee and friend murdered a bunch of kids. And that's just a small part of all of the horrible things that had happened!

Nailed it.

But he didn’t fail.

There’s an entire fucking film called a new hope. It’s also HOPE SURVIVES. In the trailer

I would say that’s a fucking HUGE relevant point. If he didn’t feel as though he failed he wouldn’t have seen Luke as any kind of hope for the Jedi. His motivation in recruiting Luke in the first place is the deep-seated guilt he has for failing his friend. Hell, he tells Luke as much in his home.

It's a double-edged pain, too. Because for Kenobi... he failed to save Anakin AND he failed to destroy Vader! That's gotta fuck with a dude's head, big time.

i mean he says it in ep3 to anakin. I FAILED YOU

yeah he failed to see his friend becoming a sith. Its also the jedi´s fault.

In this timeframe he feels a failure. He has success on watching Luke and guiding him into the force and Yoda.

Kenobi didn't have very long to stew about his failure to destroy Vader.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Only 20+ years (ten years after this series), the rest of his life.
