What are some other things that weigh on our healthcare system? Drugs? Alcohol? Red meat? Sugar? Motorcycles? Too much TV?

But in the case of seatbelts, isn’t it pretty much a fact that they make you safer? So why argue about seatbelt laws as something that is the government trying to control you? Seems like arguing for the sake of arguing
Isn't it a fact that not eating sugar or processed foods would make you safer?
Laws are unquestionably trying to control you. That's literally what a law is.
What if I don't want to be safer? I know it sounds crazy to people here. I know most people here are completely incapable of understanding why anyone would ever ask such a question. But am I allowed to exist in your world? Or must I be stopped by you?

We can save so many lives!
Is there anything you do like about this country?
1st and 2nd amendments are pretty cool. Plus those beautiful mountains!

It’s isn’t about just you!!!
yes, if I choose not to wear a seatbelt, it literally is only about me.

So we should have no laws? What’s your line here? I’m just trying to understand your perfect society.
People can live healthy lives not wearing seatbelts, too.
I don't think there should be laws forcing people to make "good" decisions about their own health, because you or no one else has any business deciding what is best for someone else.

How many people are seriously injured because they didn't wear a seatbelt over the course of their lives vs how many people die from diabetes and heart disease and cancer? Do you even know?

LOL who the fuck are you? The absolute audacity of you people!
Mind your own business. how fucking hard is that?
Impossible for those with a hard on for totalitarianism.
They think of themselves as the saviors of all mankind, so they can't do anything wrong even if they have to force people to make "good" decisions (as defined by them, naturally). It's pathological.

When I have to take a piss, I go to a urinal. Just crazy libertarian things. I guess non-libertarians have to be made to? Does the state also have to wipe their asses?

I’m referring to laws in general. Or what you call unlivable government oppression.

I'll mind my business when you stop raising my premiums.
What’s your BMI?
I'm not overweight but I see your point. This is why I said above that there has to be a line somewhere. There are some things we can do to help, and some things are beyond what we want the government to try to control. You don't do your argument justice by comparing seatbelt laws to totalitarianism.
