When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

I still think that song sounds like Bon Jovi.

Haha! That was my very first thought when I heard sirens funnily enough. But I came to love sirens in all honesty.

Not hearing that here though I’m afraid

Listen to a thing enough or watch a thing enough times, there will be five lights even if you know there are only four.

I have it on my combined playlist of recent Ed songs, which has mostly Earthling songs on it. Tender Mercies is beautiful.

For me, Sirens gets worse the further you get from its release.

Good idea.
It’s a beautiful song.
Pearl jam for ever have suffered mid tempo / dad rock disease when they go ‘there’

But they’re getting better and better at it as they go along in the true sense.

I liked Invincible from the beginning. I dig the live version and that's why I'm hunting for a better recording.

I like Tender Mercies a fair bit, and quite enjoy a few other songs on that soundtrack...but to me Earthling is such a far superior (and enjoyable!) listen to Flag Day its not even close.

Okay, I love Invincible. I love this record. And I say with great affection that that NASA thing is the most dad rock thing I can possibly imagine.

Space is pretty cool.

It’s sweet because Ed mentioned In one of his recent interviews that his youngest dreams to be an astronaut. Dad level gold

I think dad rock is often thrown around as an insult, but nearly all rock is dad rock at this point.
