Very much so. And I'm cool with Affleck.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I wonder if they had swapped Good Will Hunting roles, if things would be different

I like The King, too. I think it's underrated. I think it confused people because it is very much not Shakespeare but also very much Shakespeare and people weren't sure what to make of it? I don't know. I remember liking it a lot

What did you make of Robert Pattinson in The King? I think I'd have to watch it again to properly judge his performance.

'71 I watched because Sean Harris was in Green Knight and The King, so I looked him up and that movie caught my eye. I'm really glad I did because it was terrific.

I need a movie recommendation for tonight. There are still two Villeneuve movies I haven't seen, but Lenny didn't give them a glowing recommendation, so I'm not sure...

Enemy is great, if that's one that you haven't seen.

I watched it when it was new, so I'll admit that Pattinson doesn't stand out in my head still. Joel Edgerton definitely does. And Timothee Chalamet saying "dauphin"

Yeah I think this checks out. He was outstanding in Gone Girl as someone whose motives you can't quite pin down, and I think he hit some similar (good!) notes in Deep Water, but the material was just a lot simpler and more heavy-handed.

Those movies are worth looking at. Especially if he loved Dune and Arrival

Oh sure. Prisoners had things going for it, but I was disappointed a bit. Of the ones I’ve seen I’d say it’s my least favorite Villanueve.

Lenny has demanded I watch Nocturnal Animals tonight, so Enemy will have to wait.
