It's probably just Tim Bierman burning a bunch of CDs in his basement.

He's still going to need to send them to the stores so they have them in time...tock tock...

Just be at ease that this is the most exciting time to be a Pearl Jammer. PJ albums are like the Olympics or the world cup these days, they only come around every 4 years.

We should savour this moment, because soon the album will leak and whether it's good or awful that fuzzy feeling of not knowing, hoping for miracles and pondering what songs we know the titles of but have never heard sound like will be gone for another 40 odd months+.

I don't know because there weren't listening parties in all the countries we have reviews from.

That we know/heard of . . . . .

im sure it wont happen, but im really hoping this they are still feeling creative and go back to writing sometime next year and maybe by the end of 2015 we get another album instead of 2017 or 2018

Yeah, but unfortunately now they have to juggle the schedules of SG, Brad, RNDM, etc., plus all the family stuff.

I've heard that these days more and more bands don't even send out review cd's anymore, they host watermarked audio on password-protected streaming sites for the media. I'm pretty sure the 4 track "Pearl Jam for MLB" leak came from someone using a streaming audio recorder to capture such a stream. That would explain the crappy quality & the tiny bit of Infallible that you can hear at the end of Lightning Bolt.

The whole hatchet thing kinda freaks me out a bit. I just foresee a terrible accident befalling one of his kids. Hope I'm wrong about that.

To the one hoping for a quick follow up album... Ed's Italian RS interview revealed that he had thoughts of doing something with less build up and less structure to release maybe a year later... I think they could pull off a 3-day recording session with their "new" lost dogs, write a new song or two, perhaps jam a bit more and explore a bit... Get Tchad Blake to do his thing and, WHAM, we could have that follow up...

Yeah, I would've thought something that covered the whole face and head would be better. Knights had the right idea when they wore these:

Yeeeah he didn't really say "he had thoughts" of doing anything. He just said maybe the next thing a band does.... etc. It was a generalisation which was deliberately non-committal.
