His joke I reiterate was you look like you’re going to play G.I. Jane in a G.I. Jane sequel. What are G.I. Jane’s qualities? Is comparing somebody to G.I. Jane an insult in and of itself? This is my thought process. I do not know the history of black women and hair. I did not consider this when reading into Chris rocks joke because it is not a deep or profound joke. It is actually very simple and because I trust that Chris Rock is not a racist asshole trying to put down black women at the Oscars I assumeIt is irrelevant.
