Just because some random person thinks it's OK to hit someone for any reason whatsoever does not make it OK. We need more information to decide. Did he grab her ass? Were they complete strangers? Did he have an apparent boner? I mean... these things matter. If he was being completely gentlemanly and accepted no for no, then a slap is unnecessary violence.

Two women are sitting at table in bar. It's late night, 1 AM. The women are having a very serious and private conversation. It's clear by looking at them that the conversation is private and serious. One of the women is teary-eyed. The other is holding her hand.

A man walks up and tries to talk to the women. He asks if they are okay and tries to sit down. One woman tells, the one not crying, tells him everything is fine and that they don't need anything. It's a private matter, thanks.

The guy makes jokes. Tells the women to smile. Offers to buy them a drink.

The crying woman says no and tells him to leave them alone. They aren't looking for attention.

The man walks away.

The conversation continues. The friend of the crying woman notices the guy talking to his friends and glancing back over at the women. The crying woman looks over her shoulder and makes eye contact with the guy, then turns back to her friend.

The guy approaches again. The friend of the crying women tells him to back off. They aren't interesting. The guys says he just wants to help. The friend says, you can help by leaving us alone. The guy asks her why she's being so fucking hostile.

The friend slaps him.

How's that context?

Alternate story which is just as plausible since Harmless gave us a blank canvas:

Two single people meet at a bar and exchange pleasantries, buy each other a couple of drinks, they touch each others shoulders, flirt, express interest, share intimate details about their life, completely hit it off. Man decides to ask if woman wants to continue the conversation at home. Woman then slaps man!

That would be silly.

Why are you assuming I'm not aware of a woman's plight? I've known plenty of women, including my wife, who've told me plenty of horror stories. I was simply judging by your lack of context, that there was nothing you mentioned in your story that warranted a slap.

The man, meanwhile, was an undercover Interpol agent normally charged with human trafficking cases, but who was assigned to this detail as his final mission, and told to help train the rookie agent, who's hotheaded and impulse. But in the end, the young gun helps the old dog rediscover his passion and sense of purpose in an increasingly chaotic world.

Well, of course i would generally assume that the man is an asshole. But whats your point? Why providing us with these silly what ifs? We dont live in a black and white world.
