on the other slapping hand, it is, because everyone has freedom of slap already (we're aware of that, right?); you really can do whatever you want, when you want; the catch, though, is that freedom of slap doesn't come with freedom from consequences and accountability

and it would be so great if the same was true for hurtful words, even if the consequence for those looked different, and highly contextual

maybe Chris should be obligated to apologise; teachers make us do this at school and no one bats an eye
