The Argonaut wrote:I recently watched Scorsese's The Age of Innocence. It's got to be one of the most ludicrous movies ever made. The premise is that a man who is engaged to Winona Ryder falls in love with another woman. A woman who is not Winona Ryder. What universe is this? That sort of thing would never happen. It's an absurd film
It happened first in the book! He’s just trying to honor the source material.

Also, maybe he knew Winona Ryder is a thief?
Yeah, she stole my heart.

Coppola understands the power of Winona Ryder much better in his Dracula. When Winona Ryder dies in that movie, her husband immediately sells his soul to the devil and lives on as a demon for hundreds of years, on the off-chance that someone else who looks like Winona Ryder may someday be born. Then, when he finally finds her, he allows Winona Ryder to kill him.

This is how you treat Winona Ryder

I have zero issues with Eggers. I actually have no opinion about him since I don't think I've ever seen any of his work. Some of it has looked interesting to me. I'm just not interested in The Northman.

well, let me strongly recommend THE VVITCH. it’s an excellent piece of filmmaking and a rowdy, radical conversion tale

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The Bubble. Wasn't as bad as the reviews would have led me to believe, maybe a bit long, but overall I enjoyed it
