I funnel everything in my life through a strict moral prism. I'm afraid I won't be listening to this album ever again!

Black Summer keeps gaining a lot. I think its a wonderful opener really. The guitars reminds me of something from BSSM, maybe Soul To Squeeze...and damn, its great live.

Here Ever After could have been a song they did with Josh until the end were sounds like something from Californication.

No tearful apologies, but there seems to be genuine humility (relative to the baseline state of your average millionaire rockstar). The interview rounds as of late have some fairly candid discussion of their younger, wilder days.
I'm glad he's stopped playing those, I think that's a good decision

Counting Crows also don't play a song that features the lyric "tr*nny whores"

and I don't think Kings of Leon play "Tr*nny" now either

Listened through just once. The last 4 songs are the best songs on the album. I disliked about 10 other songs. Found myself skipping multiple songs. Overall this would've made a decent 5-6 song EP. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they recorded around 100 new songs and these are the best they had? Very disappointing. I'll keep listening to see if it grows on me.

What older RHCP songs are problematic, as opposed to just sexually graphic?

I thought it was their younger behaviour that had been (on occasion - and allegedly) questionable, rather than the content of the songs themselves.
