Speaking of, I've been waiting for this review. I don't know what I think about Altra getting into the carbon plate game this year.

I'd say I'm tired of it too, but I've never tried a shoe like that. Plenty in the market out there for regular sub 9 minute milers like you and me.

Though this take from my man Robbe tells you everything you need to know about how the general shoe hype world feels about basic good shoes.

Let it be known– we’re not judging it. We love the direction Altra’s taking. There’s only so many people who want a clowny-looking toe box and a purely natural running form. That said, there’s a certain segment of die-hard Altra fans who are certainly going to be pissed at the creation of this shoe. The base must expand, and creating more normative shoes moves that needle.

Nah, it's pretty minimal. Just super precise and clean. Constant firmware updates are a huge plus too.
