So of course the current top 100 is mostly going to be songs that were hits in the last 5 years…those are the songs that were grabbing peoples attention just as most of Spotify’s user base was arriving.

I certainly would enjoy watching the reactions of any RMers who are hearing Dance Monkey for the very first time, though.
Dance Monkey was a real hit with my 1.5-year-old a couple years back.

We can skip "Bohemian Rhapsody"
I don't think I could make it through.
I think the idea that we would start it and then watch people systematically jump ship in desperation is one of the ways the exercise could prove unintentionally hilarious, but...I understand
I can't run anything in April (and my next big project will be an Ed solo tournament) but I'd absolutely play along. I think it'd be fun and infuriating

This is an awesome idea and I would participate.

One song a day seems too intense though, and you're right, that would be tough for most of us to facilitate.

I think a weekly series would be much more manageable. It would give whoever runs it (could even be a few of us) enough time to update next song and it would give way more people a chance to come check out the threads and keep them going. It could even just be one giant thread with a title change and page reference each week (ex: Week #19 -- Sad!, by XXXtentacion [pg 34])

I know every song in the top 50 except for the XXXTentacion songs and the Saint Jhn song. What the hell is that

once a week seems too long (this is not a two year project), but a song every two-three days isn't so bad

Okay, how about we just run it by committee -- I'll start it, but anyone can feel free to move it along, just make sure to leave at leaat a day or two between songs. If it fizzles it fizzles.

Can anyone find that list in a more copy/paste/sort friendly format than the Wiki article? Would be nice to spoiler it in the OP

I wonder if the long blank gap at the end of parting ways affects its numbers

Like do you get credited a play if you end the track after the actual song?

Do you guys remember when the record came out and a thousand reviews described Parting Ways as a 7+ minute slow burner, because music journalism is a con?
