You ever get the feeling we consume too much content? Like maybe the goal shouldn't be to consume as much content as we can?

Absolutely. I catch myself watching things just because I can’t find anything else or am too lazy to do anything productive. It’s also why I hate scrolling through the apps for way too much time trying to find something actually worthwhile.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Maybe I don't need to watch any more movies. Maybe I've seen enough.

Don’t be so extreme! You may want to revisit movies like Fletch or Tom Cruise some time down the road.

How does it stack up to other PTA joints?

the only one I've seen is "The Master" but I liked that and felt it justified its runtime, taking a "small", what would usually be insignificant, moment in history and stretching it into this big existential philosophical spiritual epic; I couldn't find anything like that here, it was a potentially nice indie friendship / romance drama with an age gap to make it edgy
