Some of the worst bleating sax solos in popular music are found in Bruce Springsteen songs

Here’s your unpopular music opinion for RM: Bruce’s B-sides are better than most of your favorite bands’ a-sides.

Mind boggling that you are all hating on Springsteen, meanwhile Wet Leg….

I wasn’t hating on Springsteen, just his shitty sax player. Makes every song sound like the beginning of Saturday Night Live.

That’s actually funny…

I mean, Clarence is no jazz man, but his soulful playing I think compliments Springsteen greatly - especially in the live setting. I mean, the Big Man was so big he was ultimately replaced with an entire horn section.

Clarence guested on a tour a bunch (and played a whole show that is GarciaLive Vol. 13) with Jerry Garcia Band and also sounded pretty excellent with him. My favorite of those live releases - though the Long Island Sound shows are pretty spectacular.

I'm not sure how anyone can listen to Darkness on the Edge of Town and think, "this is boring". That being said, I totally get not falling for the cheese of some of his other stuff.

Neither does Dylan, Neil Young, Mick Jagger or probably even Eddie Vedder when you get down to it. Hasn’t stopped us in the past.

I’m sorry you went through listening to all of them so that they could be ranked, but I guess somebody had to do it. Thank you for your sacrifice.
