It's kind of shocking to me that the Maroon 5 song is so popular. There is nothing good about it, nor about any Maroon 5 songs ("Moves Like Jagger" is legitimately one of the worst songs ever recorded. "Take me by the tongue"?)
This Jason Mraz song is really terrible, too, the kind of unbearable acoustic "rootsy" feel-good-ness I can't stand about artists like Jack Johnson. I hate the scatting! Is there anything good about this one? Not for me.
The YouTube comments are interesting, and testament to the power of even the shittiest of songs to leave an enduring mark on people's lives:

I remember being in the car with my mom and my two younger brothers it was summer and the sun was shining its was a beautiful day this came on the radio and my mom was singing and had her hand to her mouth like a mic and started to pass it to us to sing and we all passed it around this imaginary mic and sang together . I'll never forget those little memories growing up. I love you mom
