Painted Shield 2 release date has been pushed back to 27th May according to Apple Music. It was previously going to be released end of this week (22nd April).

Yeah, I got an e-mail a week and a half ago from Newbury Comics that it was delayed. I just thought it was the autography stuff that was the problem.

Yeah, at times he doesnt really have the chops to pull it off. But I like his vocal melodies.

This record sounds great! Not sure if I like it better than the first...

I am just getting back from New Orleans, but heard most of this, if not just a rough listen while doing other things. I can’t think of anything to say in depth about it yet, but on a pure love/hate, I’d go with love.

I didn’t see Mason’s voice as a hinderance at all. I just noticed it felt a little more of an electronic or synthetic sound than I was expecting but it didn’t disappoint me at all. Need more listens and all the way through - hopefully Tuesday.

I have not seen the credits yet. But Ive heard interview where Stone said this one is way more collaborative.

The first record had lots of great groovy Stone riffs. A return for the riffmeister. This new record has less Stone, so thats less of what I liked most about the first one. Dead Man's Dream is classic Stone and imo the best song on this new album.

On one complete listen through my favourites are Deadman’s Dream, Life in Rewind & Til God Turns the Lights On.

Im digging it so far...yeah Mason´s vocals are the weak link for sure
