Sorry that you don’t believe something supported by repeated numerous tests, but surgical masks are effective at preventing bacteria/viruses from passing from one person to another. I’m sorry that your confirmation bias against this makes you susceptible to believing that one study that says differently wipes out decades of supporting information.verb_to_trust wrote:If he suddenly vomits it will probably keep some chunks out of your open surgery.Mecca wrote:Gonna ask my surgeon to not wear one cuz they don’t do anything anymorespike wrote:Makes sense to me.verb_to_trust wrote:The whole my mask protects you trope. ORD has now flipped to mask optional, after the governor lifted all mandates on public transportation and hubs.spike wrote:Hoo boy

Ridiculous bad faith argument. No reasonable person says they are 100% effective, but they do mitigate transmission, which has always been the point.macphisto wrote:Masks stopped covid dead in its tracks. Mission accomplished.

Same thing with the garbage shots that basically failed immediately. Their rushed trials were meant to succeed. Everyone was rooting for them to, to be fair.
