Some things are good to preserve, and I think this is one of them. The gesture denotes respect for the place and occasion, to me. Now that I think about it, maybe Chipotle or Chili's are the establishments this generation of hatted diners deserves.

This outdated notion of respect is absurd to me. It's just clothing.

By all means, you do you. I'm not judging you at Sbarro with your hat on. I think at this point it's a dead tradition. Agree with you there.

I'm anticipating a cultural impasse between you and I on the actual gesture though, so I'll grab my hat and be on my way.

We had to remove our hat any time inside in the military so it just stuck with me. But i don’t care if others don’t unless they are some jack off hipster wearing a wool beanie in the middle of summer. But i guess I’m judging you for other things at that point.

I wore a hat into Firehouse Subs while ago and completely forgot about this thread.

Glad we have a new “white guys get mad about things people wear on their heads inside” thread. In the nick of time.

This is the hottest thread on the board. May just park here the next few days. Without a hat on.

A hairpiece is not a hat any more than a merkin is underwear.
