In the middle of the first season of Better Call Saul, though I'm similarly going to avoid the main thread for a while. It's predictably really well done, and I'm looking forward to seeing what it does when it really settles in (I also, for whatever reason, though it'd had a significantly shorter run than it has).

Thoughts with one ep to go? It’s been my least favorite season overall - really feels like a self-congratulatory victory lap at times. I’m not mad tho. It’s well-deserved. Dietrich Bader has been a true highlight. I just watched the penultimate episode and Kevin Pollack made me lol at least 3 times in his 4 minutes of screen time. It’s time, but I’m going to be emotional next week when it wraps up. It’s been a gem.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
