Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

reflektor and everything now are also great in their own ways.. i can justifiably see any of their albums being someone's favorite

I listened to Everything Now again yesterday and I liked more of it than I remembered, it's just that the electronic / disco-leaning stuff is my least favourite side of them, and both this and Reflektor go hard in that direction

I don't think AF have a "bad" album, but I loved them so much at one point, I was sad that they dropped off for me so early; I'm hoping for a real course-correction in "We"

I need to dive into them again, i barely remember stuff really...the last one...i dont remember it all. I think the main problem with it was that it was boring and they seemed so eager to prove some kind of point it was a little laughable.

Reflektor was alright but again, super long.

yep

my only slight issue with The Suburbs is that it does get a little long, but nowhere near what they did after it; I'm glad they're editing themselves for this one; I love a long album when a band can keep the momentum going, not so much when they taper off

i think in both of those releases the band really felt they were doing like an ¨important¨ album.

Kinda seems the opposite to me. Like they were being more casual.

I kinda don't hate anything on here, but reggae isn't a thing I want from them

why was it so maligned? I don't really find anything emotional on here, or rocky; it's all kinda dancey, is that why?

It wasn’t universally maligned, but it was divisive. I enjoy it quite a bit sometimes. Actually listening to we don’t deserve love now. Just came up on a playlist. Pretty great

people had a specific expectation of them at that point and they made a hard left turn. Quality didn’t suffer
