I am kinda glad this came up. We were running out of insignificant things to complain about.

I'm waiting to read stips review before I make my decision on whether to check out these songs.

in all seriousness if you never heard these before they are an interesting listen. And there are one or two that I wold have liked to see PJ pick up besides betterman. But mostly it is of historical value.

Still, if I had never heard this stuff before I think this would have been worthy of all the hype Antiquiet gave it. It's just that unless something is genuinely knew, rather than old and rareish, it'll be hard to surprise enough people to justify the hyperbole.

The problem was that most people who are going to care about new Pearl Jam in 2013 are likely to have heard these (apart from the people that have been retweeted by AQ). If it hadn't been three decades since they last produced an album I doubt it would have produced such a the rabid piranha frenzy that it did. Antiquiet should understand that.

People are always going to be much more aggressive online than they are in real life since people usually type the thoughts that are in their head rather than what they would actually say outloud.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

Listening to Ed's songs in good quality was nice, a first for me. I've heard the songs for years of course. Homeless and BYM are good tunes. It got me thinking... What percentage chance do you think Eddie would have been able to make a humble living on music if not for Mike and Stone. And vice versa, what percentage chance would have Stone had if not for Ed? And Jeff? Mike? Dave Krusen? Who had the best shot?

I imagine Jeff and Stone would've been fine if not for Pearl Jam, though not as hugely successful.

Mike would totally be a weekend blues lawyer.

Ed, who knows.
