i don't know why i took the bait on this hypothetical other than self-hatred. but i'm halfway in, so i'll continue.

i'm assuming part of bodysnatcher's claim is that the strictures on efficacy in political office are mostly if not entirely a function of lobbyists and their benefactors. i agree. steve agrees. steve hasn't run for office and likely wouldn't because of this fact we all agree on. so why make the piercingly stupid hypothetical?
