You're out of your mind.

Everything outside of the speeder chase looked so much better than Mando. Didn't some RMers spend a lot of time complaining about how terrible Luke looked in Mando and then praising how he looked in Fett?

The best looking episode of either series is the one BDH directed for Fett. It's the only episode of either that looks truly expensive and cinematic.

The finale of Fett also looked great. That Rancor attack was fantastic.

You guys are weird.

Luke definitely looked better in Boba. The lack of biome diversity and questionable character design cheapened the look of the whole series, however. It had some moments for sure, but lacked the visual diversity and life of Mando.

I make a distinction between the Mando episodes of Boba and everything else -- I don't consider those actual episodes of Book of Boba Fett. Different creative crew.

And Luke is not part of what I'm talking about with the execution of Boba -- my issue is how the thing was shot with the camera (i.e. an amateur albeit talented fan film).

That's a fair argument. I can totally see what you mean. We're just valuing certain elements differently. Totally valid. You're wrong, btw. But still. Valid. :P

I totally understand what you mean. And I'll be explicit when saying that's what I'm disagreeing with. Outside of the speeder chase, I think Fett's cinematography and camera work is way better. Even if you take out the two episodes that you don't want to call episodes of Book of Boba Fett. Which I don't think we can do. But whatever. I'll give it to you just for the sake of argument.

Take those two episodes out and I think on balance (while both series have great moments and horrible moments) Fett looks better to me.

But none of this is important, nor does it have anything to do with Kenobi. Other than I think Kenobi won't look quite as cinematic as I want to look because of the restrictions of The Volume and where the tech is at right now.

Hope I'm wrong. Just expectations setting.

I completely disagree. The shots of Boba on a bantha (camera height and zoom looked bad -- they did this multiple times); the way the gunfights were shot and choreographed; the constant usage of narrow alleyways for action sequences; the list goes on. I could probably come up with a dozen more examples. It looked amateurish compared to Mando.

It is related in that I see some of the same problematic issues with shots from the Kenobi trailer that I saw in Boba. Granted, this is a very small sample size so fingers crossed the final product will look great.

Chow directed one of the best episodes of Mando. I trust her here.

Boba had better production than Mando season 2. They state the in the behind the scenes how much technology has improved.

A lot of it wasn’t shot in the volume

The Halo planet Mando visited is one of the best things I’ve seen in Star Wars. Yet alone a rancor running around a city.

The major difference between Mando and Book of Boba Fett is the expectation that comes when you are bringing back an original character.

Let’s hope Obi-Wan doesn’t suffer the same fate as BOB.

Can we just say that if you think the 5th and 6th episodes aren’t from book of boba Fett you are WRONG!!!!

Is episode Mando season 2 episode 6 The tragedy - really a book of Boba episode ??
