I don’t know how awesome this is but the guy for whom the language Bocce was named lived here in town and taught at the local university back when the first movie was made. (It’s actually spelled Bagci). He was a big brain in robotics and helped build R2. I met his son a few years ago and now the son is running for city council.

Our friends are a Disneyworld right now and they are going to build a BB droid for my son's birthday next week. He's going to freak out.
