Some types of inspiring music:

- Music about creating. The Simpson album has a lot of great songs about the artist's struggles with both himself and external forces, and resolving to create anyway. That's usually inspiring to me.

- The music of pride. Sheer audacity. Basically all good rap, before it got ruined by demands of "importance" (same with hard rock). Unapologetically enjoying one's self.

- Then there is the more visceral, musical variety of inspiration. Basically work out music, or music that "pumps you up".
