Frustrating movie. Some good stuff, some absolute horseshit.

Some extremely Spy Kids 3D looking action scenes

Some fun Raimi-ish moments when it really ramps up

Fully undermines the ending of WandaVision

Lizzie Olsen rocks it though, she's very fun to watch here

The two big cameos are very embarrassing, especially the music choice during one of them

He actually says "Illumiwhati?!"

America Chavez is a nothing character

6/10, the good slightly outweighs the bad

If this came out within a month of No Way Home, I’d have bought an advance ticket. Right now, I have zero interest.

I thought it was funny how the initial trailer made it look like this was all directly tied to the events of Spider-Man but it was actually barely acknowledged. Sneaky Marvel

Wasn’t the original plan to release Strange 2 before No Way Home?

I completely disagree Chavez is anything character. Very key to the whole story

I’m surprised how well the one cameo was kept under wraps.

Pretty sure with the inclusion of incursions the next big thing for marvel will be Secret War and that will bring back the russos

I didn't say she wasn't important to the story. If anything, she's fully a plot device, not a character. Completely blank

She’s a little shallow, but there’s some character there:
-young child with incredible powers she doesn’t understand yet
-orphan lost in the multiverse
-responsible for her two moms deaths
-figures out that she’s had control over her incredible power the whole time

just returned from seeing this with my partner

I enjoyed it way more than I expected, as someone who isn't usually an MCU fan; my biggest takeaway is that I REALLY resonated with Scarlet Witch's whole vibe, story and motivation (I got teary once or twice); I'm going to go back and watch Wandavision to see some of the "origin" of that

That's her backstory, yeah. What's her personality? She felt sorely underwritten to me

nah, the family stuff; I don't want to unravel my trauma here but creating a family in another universe, where you were a mother with children -- yep, I relate heavily
