Rocksmith (2012) - The Pearl Jam Project

Post by spent »

Hi guys,

Not sure how many people here own Rocksmith, but if you have you should check out smithyanvil.com Easy tutorials of how to upload custom songs into your Rocksmith, people have done any band you can think of - including PJ. If you own Rocksmith and all the PJ DLC and still want more check them out, we have a community project trying to get the discography in.

To get to the PJ thread you have to sign on the forums, then use this link:
http://forums.smithyanvil.com/viewtopic.php?id=7448

Songs completed/in progress so far:

Even Flow
Dissident
Rearviewmirror
Last Exit
Do the Evolution
Sad

And of course in the official Rocksmith store you can pick up Alive, Jeremy, and Black. If you own Rocksmith and love PJ like I do, this is a must have.

Soon Rocksmith 2014 will launch and there will be a project to convert custom songs to the new platform. Hope I've guided some people to something new to play with for the weekend.

I gave Rocksmith a go last year and wasn't too impressed, but the cable it comes with is amazing because I now plug it straight into my computer and use it to record demo tracks for my band and stuff.

Would be interested in having another look on the game if I could get the PJ discography. Let us know how your campaign progresses.

Yeah it's much better that GH. You plug a real guitar in and it recognises the notes you play. My main gripes with it were that the interface was not all that friendly (looked too much like guitar hero) and some of parts of it (mainly the side games like baseball) would say I'd hit the wrong note when I quite clearly hadn't. I think with a few tweaks it could've been awesome, especially to teach kids how to play.

I've been wanting to try Rocksmith for ages. I could finally learn me some guitar. I gotta give it a shot.

This is pretty damn cool - just picked up my guitar and gave Rocksmith another hoon this afternoon. Will certainly look into this...

Wait = Jeremy's easy? I didn't download that one, but grabbed the other two and are struggling with them

Yeah...I only played it under one arrangement...whatever the first one is...but it was much easier than the other ones.
