Eddie Vedder - Earthling

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

I just looked at it on Spotify... very weird. It's listed as an album. The Into the Wild songs are not re-recorded, they appear to be the originals

I wonder what the point of this release is

I thought I was about to fall for a lecherous joke but sure enough …

Far behind is definitely different. Same vocal take but electric guitar and a real drummer. It’s subtle but it’s definitely different. Setting forth MIGHT have new drums but I’m just waking up and ears are sleepy. It’s a good reproduction of so.

This is weird.

On Spotify, the tracks carry the same play count as the ones on the Into the Wild soundtrack, which suggests they're the same tracks being pulled from different albums. I also just compared both "Fall Behind"s back to back and they're the exact same. Maybe the version on other streaming platforms is different, but not on Spotify.

Yea listened again after a sip. Ooops.

Same far behind

Ed didn’t even play into the wild songs with the earthlings so this seems even more pointless

Wouldn’t be surprised that there is in fact an indie store exclusive, just odd that’s the first source we’ve heard it from if real

That threw me off too but wasn’t the 10club shipping in July too? Or was it June? I haven’t listened to it since the initial 2 weeks after it came out.

I don’t know what’s known or what but when I emailed they said retail versions would be black.

Funny, I listened to this the first time last week in a couple months. The songs I like were even more awesome. The bad songs (The Long Way, the Elton song) are still really bad. But somehow the production was even worse than I remembered it.
