Give us more Jicks demos and B-Sides. Pavement reissues are reaching a saturation point!

Re: Remember a band called Pavement? (Mostly Jick Talk)
washing machine, i don't know that i'd asked this...are you going to see Pavement at any of their stops this year?
the closest they are to me is KC, but it's the same day as PJ in OKC. I was looking at maybe going to Austin on Oct 10, but we've already got tix for Kevin Morby in OKC.
i guess I'll have to wait until the next reunion.

Re: Remember a band called Pavement? (Mostly Jick Talk)
I am very likely not going to see them. Austin would be closest, I guess. I very, very seldom go see shows. In the last five years, I've seen a total of two. Malkmus and the Jicks was one of them, though. David Byrne was the other one.dad wrote:washing machine, i don't know that i'd asked this...are you going to see Pavement at any of their stops this year?

I'd probably be able to convince my wife to see Pearl Jam if they ever came back to Houston. Maybe. Moot point considering PJ is never coming back to Houston.dad wrote:i get it. our kids a getting older and we've missed going to live shows, so we're taking what we can get.washing machine wrote:I am very likely not going to see them. Shared this with a future fellow jicktalker via PM but I won't keep it from the thread. Isn't this video ridiculous and fun?

Re: Remember a band called Pavement? (Mostly Jick Talk)
I like how the wild backdrops juxtapose with the sincerity on Malkmus's face and the word salad coming out of his mouth. It's somehow the most jick thing ever. The family stuff at the end puts a nice little dad rock stamp on it too.dad wrote:what a goof.washing machine wrote:Shared this with a future fellow jicktalker via PM but I won't keep it from the thread.
