I found the picture on Billboard. That's their attorney apparently. The guy in the top row, second, is the band manager, top row, fourth, some publishing company guy, and the front row, first, is I think a label agent or something. The other four are the band.

Yes, can’t believe someone here thought they were all in the band.

I mean, it wouldn't be the first '90s era band to greatly expand their membership with all kinds of live extras.

I am only vaguely aware of the existence of Hootie and the Blowfish. I think it's one of those American bands that just didn't break down here. Don't think I've ever heard a single song of theirs

I listened to them quite a bit in the late 90s. I think I was the one that gave the suggestion for the name of their fan club, in a suggestion I made in a forum similar to this back then.

I thought they were all in the band. I mean, I haven’t paid any attention to them since the mid-90s when the world demanded Hootie sounded like Eddie Vedder because they both sing baritone.

I wasn’t into the pop rock sound they were pushing back then so I never listened beyond their main hits. They were in the same boat for me as Crash Test Dummies and Collective Soul.

All of those hootie and the blowfish guys have regular day jobs. Every 6 months, they get the ok from their wives to go hang out together at the local open mic night where they just really cut loose.

I feel like this post went overlooked. What a story if true.

What's their fan club name? I could google, but I think we would be so privileged to hear it from anders right here in this very thread.
