It's all on Brown and Tatum. All this talk (at least locally) about these guys being superstars is all well and good, but if they fail to get out of the second round I think changes are in store. All that said, I still say the series is winnable.

Or it's just the proven champs doing championship-level things. Still plenty of opportunities here. To blow a big lead, you need to have a big lead.Coach wrote:It's all on Brown and Tatum. Re: NBA Thread
The Celtics have been the best team in the league for 4 months. If they lose this series it's a loss to the team with the best player in the league and a really good team. I don't think that's worthy of blowing it up but as a Heat fan go on ahead and blow it up.

Brown/Tatum have been knocking on the door, bunch of playoff appearances and two conference finals.

Re: NBA Thread
And they're still young. Honestly, I'm surprised they've come back the second half of this season as well as they have. I loved thinking that the Heat ended them in 2020 and earlier this season it looked like a breakup was inevitable but regardless of how this series ends I think they'd be crazy to move either Brown or Tatum.Coach wrote:Brown/Tatum have been knocking on the door, bunch of playoff appearances and two conference finals.

I'd take the Jaylen and Jayson pairing on the Bulls in a heartbeat

It will be interesting to see what the Celts do in the offseason. But in the meantime, the series is still winnable because of, well, defense.

Jimmy winning a chip is my only hope for this playoffs. Mavs and Grizz won't do it.

I feel like Miami would beat anybody from the West but probably not either team from the East. Whatever, gonna enjoy this one. Really like this team.

Embiid already criticizing Harden. I wonder where Harden will be traded to in the off-season. He’s going to end up in Washington or Orlando

Harden with another puzzling no show in an elimination game. I'm sure he will quit on this team soon too.

As he should. Harden saying they just need more pieces was hilarious.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Embiid already criticizing Harden.
Also, Jimmy yelling "Tobias Harris over me?!?!?" was incredible. Although I do feel a little bad for Harris lol.

Re: NBA Thread
Paraphrasing his quote here, but him saying "Everyone was expecting we were getting the Houston version of James Harden but that's not who he is anymore" is, I think, his way of actually trying to shield Harden from the criticism he's getting from the fans and the media, and not an attempt by Joel to throw Harden under the bus. He finished the response saying he wished Harden played more aggressive but that they all needed to be more aggressive.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Embiid already criticizing Harden. Pretty surprised that they announced Doc will be back next season.
