dad I think I’ve asked you this before but what kind of oatmeal do you use?
during the week, I use Millville Quick Oats from Aldi. weekends are for Old Fashioned Oats, also Millville, or steel cut from Trader Joe's.
I dig those Milville oats. I haven't bought from there in quite awhile though.
where do you normally buy your oats?
Publix and Wal-Mart (leave me alone). I'm just not near the Aldi's around here very often.
Publix is mostly in the southern states, yeah? Is it considered fancypants?
I wouldn't say fancy. It's no Whole Foods or Piggly Wiggly at least.
My first job was at Piggly Wiggly.

This sounds a lot like those no-bake cookies.

Also: almond butter but soy milk? :shake:

I’ve tried the soy milk. Not a fan. The oat milk is better but not very good. I totally dig almond milk.

i'm going to try that, minus the syrup because i'm trying to cut added sugars.

yeah, i sometimes use that and sometimes don't. when i do it's not very much at all, maybe like twice as much as the vanilla (which is just a little splash). i've also done this same recipe with blackberries
