Because of the funny haircuts. We all made that mistake.
And Ben Affleck
Adam Driver was the only thing that looked even remotely interesting to me. And even some of his stuff made me kinda laugh in the trailer. The movie just looks absurdly stupid.

But people seem to really like it. Good lesson in not putting too much stock in a trailer.

RidSco is a good director. I shouldn't be surprised that it all works. But still...

I really think it comes down to the trailer looking so similar to that one in tropic thunder

Odd. Anyway the male characters all come across as fools eventually so the haircuts work. It’s a surprising movie. I think if more people gave it a chance it would’ve been a really big hit. That female character is the real protagonist, and that actress does a fantastic job

Oh that's right! I forgot Jodie Comer was in it. She was the other reason I was interested. I love her.

Just finished it. Wow I like it even more now. I’ll probably watch it again soon. Fantastic movie. Only thing I would change is I would have them speak in French instead of a weird English accent.

Dune would also be better if they spoke French

Dune is like a very intelligent, much more intricate and interesting Star Wars
