Been woefully neglectful of my lawn and the neighbours.
I don't have a mower. Need to get one.

Get a goat. I can totally envision you smoking a Gandalf pipe and yelling words of encouragement to your cloven-hooved comrade from the back porch.

I got sick of looking at our shitty plastic flip top bin.
So I made this. Lid on hinges and a good sanding to follow. It'll be beautiful.
85% of pallets get used once then get sent to landfill. This is pallets taking a stand. Albeit ironically:)

Dublins main fruit n veg market/distribution hub is five minutes from my house.
Hundreds of pallets thrown away every day cos they're broken.
I just go down, hammer off the stuff I can use and carry it home.

Do RMers really knit? If so, do they jam while they knit? To what, "once", "spin the black circle", "comatose", "animal"? How loud?

Wouldn't it be dangerous? are safety goggles worn?

Look back through the thread. Sarah has some incredible knit work.

I can't speak to what kind of safety procedures she has in place. If any.

At the moment it's mostly to The Mynabirds or episodes of Supernatural. Believe it or not I have also sustained various knitting related injuries during my time!

These were a commission from a friend.

And this is my current work in progress.

Nice work. The colors on the first one are fabulous. No joke. Now time for a serious moment. I don't know what the piece is. The betting odds are probably in favor of it being a woman's stocking or doily. I prefer it to be a strapless top and skirt combo.

Thanks. The build took no time but matching the wood to the fireplace it was going into via staining and waxing was the real trouble. Got it close enough I reckon. And only working off a few photos.
Got more work out of them too:)

Damn dude, you really know your shit. Were you ever a cabinetmaker or joiner by trade or did you just hone your skills unaided?

Nothing like that. Just started bringing pallets home about 18 months ago.
Learn as you go. But if its finished nice, that's the trick really.
