Re: Talk about your day thread
woke up at 5:30a to have coffee and breakfast, woke up my kid at 6a to get him ready for his soccer game that was at 7:30a. the fields are about 40-45 min from our house. after the game, i had a bite to eat and sat down with my wife to plan out an itinerary for a 1-day trip to NYC with the kids next month. we're going to Connecticut to visit my mom and step-dad, and we told the kids we'd spend one day in NYC, and they're very excited about that.
a few minutes ago we tested my stepson for covid because he's had the worst cough in the last 24hrs. sure enough, he's positive. fortunately, he's vaccinated, and so far the cough is the worst of it, and everyone in the house has now had it.
i'm thinking about doing a deep clean on the grill later, but it's probably going to be in the 90s again, and a nap also sounds like a good idea.

Sucks that your son has it but at least he's got it now and it won't cancel your trip next month. That's good.

Woke up early, chill breakfeast with my girl and then we saw two eps of that hulu series Conversations with Friends.
We went to a cool cafe nearby to have some lunch, she went to her place and i cleaned my house while watching soccer.

her wife finally likes me i think..once she quit being a talking head on espn she's a bit more normal..cc club was a legit dive..went around noon...large pours , good music and the neighborhood regular riff raff going in and out..good timesStrat wrote:Figured it was that person.doug rr wrote:pm sent..Strat wrote:Nobody said anything about banging. also, matt's jucy lucy was ok, its checked off the list now....the CC Club is my new favorite dive bar though
CC club used to be a favorite but last time i was there (12 yars ago?) it felt overrun and more trendy than years past. Perhaps its gone back to the more "dive" scene since Uptown area has gone to shit.

I tried to take some pictures of the eclipse but basically it looked like those ghost orb photos.
Why is it so hard to take a good picture of the moon on your iPhone?

Re: Talk about your day thread
Woke up at 330am to watch the Celts vs Bucks, so the day started well 'cause I got the result that I wanted.
Today's day 7 of Chemo and things seemed to be on the improve. Days 4 and 5 just sucked, but wiffey got through them with a regular diet of nurofen and panadol, and the occasional oxycodone when really required.
She was complaining about a sore belly and had poop issues, which is hell common. Pain ramped up this arvo and so a few calls were made and so now we are at the ED. And because of fucking covid I'm not allowed in with her to hold her hand.
She's been seen now and is feeling better but looks as though she'll be spending the night here tonight.
Oh well, live and learn I guess. It's just so tough trying to guage what's a "normal" amount of pain or discomfort and when you should call the Docs when nothing is goddam normal anymore.
