Oof. Second season is really bad. Three episodes in and i don’t think I’m gonna make it.

Imagine seeing that season 3 trailer without the painful foreknowledge of how fucked it's all going to be.

I’m three episodes in to season two. And really enjoying it.

This season has been mostly horrible and yet I keep watching. I LOATHE the rehashed time travel motif. I don't give a flying eff about the hospital, going to fancy galas, or getting detained by law enforcement entities. It's tired and annoying. Add to that the whole thing is shot like a car commercial and, in total, it's a shiny piece of crap that exists only because of its reliance on the audience's love of Picard and Patrick Stewart.

Lol I'm actually enjoying season 2. It's a fun, rollicking adventure and the exchanges between Agnes and the Borg Queen are spicy.

For what it's worth, I'm a pretty casual Star Trek fan. I'm most familiar with TNG, but even then I'm spotty with my knowledge of lore and canon. I couldn't name the entire crew of the OG series and I've never seen a full episode of DS9, Voyager, or Enterprise. I watched the first season of Discovery with my wife and enjoyed it.

Maybe I'm a weird target audience for this current Picard spectacle? Feels like a standalone thing to me and the pacing is good enough to keep me binging.

I'm a casual Trek fan as well. I just don't think Picard is well made -- cinematography, acting (other than Stewart), script, plot choices, etc. They're all weak.

The only thing I enjoy more than Picard on Paramount+ is The Equalizer.

What's better out of Picard and The Book of Boba Fett? I loved Mando, but haven't seen either of these other two.
