this was a week before the show. and it wasn't much different a day before it.
if you're asking that question sarcastically, i was not being literal. it was a uniquely low selling show in a 16k capacity arena (and not selling side/behind stage so several thousand less) in a city of 500k. fans there esitmated anywhere from 50-70%.

No sarcasm at all. Thanks for that. I had no idea and figured they would just sell out everything immediately.
To the drummer conversation....from now on, instead of wishing for Dave A, I'm just going to be wishing for more Stuverud!

happy they played with Krusen, but after the hot-fire rush of Richard S. and the earnestness of Josh K., having boring-ass Krusen sit in there just reminds me of Dave A's quote from when PJ first asked him to play with them and he listened to Ten and was like 'OK but I don't have to play it like this' ... that said all for anyone that slows down even flow to near it's original speed so more power to you Dave K and way to shake the purple dragon... interesting story from Ed before the Deep performance always assumed that song was about H but always interesting to hear the genesis of it directly...

man, what an interesting boot to listen to. would have been super interesting to hear how krusen sounded on a non-ten track or two.
i'm not the biggest fan of klinghoffer on the kit, i must say. there are quite a few flubs and, going back to the odd timing debate (where things were heating up) you can hear he really struggles with a song like low light. he had no idea where those bars finished he just sorta let them hang and caught up again with the guitars.
the other fella's ok, and with more shows or rehearsals he'd get better, his main issues were knowing when the songs end a couple of times. but krusen was the clear winner of the three on these shows (and it is a competition).

I haven’t listened to Fresno in much detail, but I agree Josh K was way out of his depth and Richard sounded good but likely would’ve been great with some more rehearsal time.
I'm sure this has probably been said in the 10 pages so far but Richard was incredible on 'Throw Your Hatred Down' - hands down the best version ever played by PJ
yes i noticed how stronk this version was, very satisfying
prompted me to listen to neil's year of the horse album which had been a while since i gave that a spin
