Also, officially going to Riotfest Chicago (Replacements and Pixies) now, and just bought tickets to see Sigur Ros in Birmingham in October. Super-excited about both of those.

Saw They Might Be Giants last night in Prospect Park. Great show. Tons of fun. They played every song from the new album that I really wanted to hear live.

And the opening band was this trio called Moon Hooch. They were fantastic. Just two horn players and a drummer. But they put on a hell of a show.

They're starting a worldwide tour next month. Doing a few US shows then over to Europe. They have yet to announce the leg after that.

I ended up going to see Danzig last night because my cousin's friend cancelled at the last minute. It was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen.

Sounds great. I love The Thermals.

Does Titus Andronicus put on a good show? I like them, but somehow they don't strike me as a band that would be particularly good live.

They're INCREDIBLE. Even better live than in the studio. Their sound has changed a bit since the lineup change as there's no more violin or keyboards but man, they really put on a hell of a show.

I am thinking of ending my endless quest for Brooklyn I tickets and instead spending my money on seeing the Black Crowes at Terminal 5 the next week.
