I don't think the casting was the problem in that movie.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I don’t think she was dumping on Alden which is how a lot of people have taken it to mean. Just that recasting isn’t the best idea. But as much fun as Solo despite all its production problems, he wasn’t at all the problem with that film.
It sounds like the bottom line and poor return on that influenced what she said there. And that’s on Disney for an awful release months after last Jedi and a piss poor advertising campaign for it.
Shoulda released it at Christmas.

A different release month or boosted advertising campaign would not have helped Solo. It's a sucky film.

Man, we picked a shitty weekend to move Mrs Wease’s cousin. This drops, Stranger Things does and Top Gun 2. And I’ll be wanting to stand in the middle of the runway at LAX hoping a plane runs me down.

Hearing rumors that Ewan backed out of this. Possibly being replaced by Kevin Nealon.

I'm strongly considering getting up at like 5am on Friday to watch it. I haven't done what with any TV show that I can think of.
