Convoys of people were going store to store stealing shit, and apparently it was a region wide thing. Even with a couple hours notice, the authorities were ineffectual.

Where’d they go besides Nordstrom’s?
There were a series of armed robberies by multiple assailants in Oakland hitting pharmacies and I don't know what else (last summer they hit multipe dispensaries in 1 night). Maybe entirely different groups? Group similar to the Nordstroms group hit Union square in SF on Friday night.
The Nordstroms thing happening without police being tied up with nearby protests just lets people know that you could always get away with it as long as there are enough of you.

I just read about this today. What a vile human. And this was on the same day as George Floyd was murdered by a cop - she knew what the fuck she was doing. Human scum!
