Joey's only mistake here was engaging with the paranoid troll group.

I knew full well what I was doing. This has all gone pretty much exactly as I expected. But I decided when I became a mod that I would try to engage and be transparent because I know that's an issue some have with the team here. I know it changes nothing. But it feels like good faith to me and I want to offer that to the community.

I admire your commitment to this unpaid job, but trying to engage with Burt, Verb or Mac in good faith is like pissing in the wind.

Well, that's certainly true. And I've largely avoided doing so. But tree has asked some good faith questions. And while I know full well Reid is probably trolling too, he's also asking questions that might benefit others. So I'm going to pursue those in good faith, too.

Wait. I just read this. What gives you the idea that I am trolling? I mean, I'm glad you're pursuing it in good faith, but that kind of preconceived wrongness ("I know full well...") is exactly why I think any "modding" outside of board upkeep and admin stuff is dangerous to a small community like RM.

You're the newest, but your mod approach falls in line with the modship in general. I'm talking about shaking it up and sharing the mod robes with people who don't see the world the same as progressives like you, B and of course Ruddo. We don't need macphisto or anything on there, but probably trag or bodysnatcher would be a good place to start looking if you're curious about what kind of mod I'm talking about.

This is hurtful as I know it's a job I could grow into. I would be fair to a fault and moderate with a very light touch.
